Yolande McCray, Founder of The Healing Place PLLC, joins ICU baby for this “Baby Wise” segment about the mental health struggles of being a black mother. The Healing Place is an organization that serves families to promote awareness and normalize treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, postpartum depression, perinatal loss and infertility. Yolande has over 14 years of bedside service as a Labor and Delivery nurse. A shift to psychiatry as a practitioner has allowed her to view the patients from a different spectrum. Mental wellness is the pinnacle of success as a mother. The Healing Place strives to empower moms and facilitate their climb to the top.

“Baby Wise” is ICU baby’s video series targeted to address the questions that NICU parents ask most, especially in light of the COVID-19 crisis. The series feature professionals, in a variety of fields, from around the South Florida community.
